On Sunday, March 26, 2017, severe storms with softball-size hail and damaging winds hammered parts of North Texas, including Denton and Collins Counties. The storms departed by Monday morning, and no injuries were reported, but Little Elm was left with damaged homes, broken windows, fallen trees and downed utility lines.
DKI was called to Lakeside Manor Apartments, a community of senior living rentals, on Tuesday, March 28. They arrived on scene to inspect the damages, and discovered multiple units in need of repairs.
Right away, the team began emergency roof tarping, boarding up windows and water mitigation services. They relocated wet furniture and materials to clean and salvage. Then, using high-end equipment of air movers and dehumidifiers, they dried out the units on the property, removing any excess moisture.
In addition to water mitigation, the team also provided repair services to several broken windows on the property.
