July 24, 2018 – Moore Advanced Services Group (ASG), a member company of DKI, North America’s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, announced that their biological response specialist, Erica Graham, was awarded the Ilse B. Almanza Scholarship by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) during the ASHE Annual Conference in Seattle, WA on July 18.
The scholarship was established to carry forward the legacy of Ilse B. Almanza, an advocate for lifelong education and longtime ASHE employee, by supporting the education and training to develop future leaders committed to optimizing the health care physical environment.
Graham was nominated due to her work in a large rural hospital which had been affected by a category 3 water intrusion.
“Erica and the ASG’s expertise and skillset were essential in keeping the hospital near Indianapolis up and running with little to no interruption of care to the facility or its patient base,” said Eric Jackson, SteraMist sales manager for Moore ASG. “Her knowledge of healthcare remediation requirements and disinfection contributed significantly to the successful elimination of cross contamination concerns inside the cafeteria, kitchen, laundry, sterilization and other affected areas.”
