(EYNON, Penn., Nov. 27, 2017) – Damage Control, Inc., a member company of DKI, North America’s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, announced they collected over 200 new and gently-used coats for their winter coat drive, which ran through November 15, 2017.
During the first two weeks of November, Damage Control accepted donated coats from their community and staff. These donations will be distributed to those in need through Friends of the Poor, a non-profit organization that provides food, clothing, furniture and other essentials to the less privileged in the Scranton, PA community.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the amount of coats that were collected. We couldn’t have done it without all of the help that we received from local insurance agencies who got the word out by putting up flyers in their offices, advertised on their websites, Facebook pages and even put collection boxes in their offices. It was truly a group effort that made this such a success,” said Joseph Shaughnessy, business development manager for Damage Control.
