DKI Volunteers to Pack Over 100,000 Life-Saving Meals for Feed My Starving Children

(ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill., June 6, 2017) – DKI, North America’s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, is pleased to announce DKI member company, J.C. Restoration (JCR), exceeded their goal for the second consecutive year, packing over 100,000 meals for Feed My Starving Children (FMCS) on Friday, June 2, 2017.

The MobilePack was held at JCR’s Rolling Meadows, IL campus. DKI and over 400 other community members generously volunteered to package vacuum-sealed meals, consisting of vitamins, veggies, soy and rice, designed to meet the needs of severely malnourished children for an entire year. The day was filled with music, friendly competitions between the many packing stations, and food and beverage, provided by several sponsors.

Each year, JCR sets a goal to pack 100,000 of these meals. This year, they successfully surpassed it with 101,088 meals, enough to feed 276 children every day for an entire year.
