Joe Meyers of Hammer Restoration, Inc. Earns Certified Restorer and Water Loss Specialist Certifications

July 13, 2016 – Hammer Restoration Inc., a member company of DKI, North America’s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, is pleased to announce that its branch manager, Joe Meyers, was awarded the Certified Restorer (CR) and Water Loss Specialist (WLS) certifications, making him the only CR/WLS in Mich. outside of Metro Detroit.

The CR is the highest level of certification recognized in the property restoration industry. To be certified, a contractor must meet rigorous prerequisites, attend a week-long prep course, pass the certification exam, then complete a Formal Report. Meyers managed to complete everything, along with the WLS courses and exam within just one year.

Meyers was awarded this achievement at the Restoration Industry Association’s (RIA) 2016 International Restoration Convention and Industry Expo in Orlando, Fla.

Previously, Meyers had earned the designations of Master Fire and Smoke Restorer (MSR), Master Water Restorer (MWR) and Journeyman Textile Cleaner (JTC) through the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).

“The body of knowledge, experience and resources a CR, WLS brings to a project provides the assurance of the highest level of expertise in the restoration industry. Hammer congratulates Joe Meyers on this distinctive accomplishment,” said Owner Steve Gohm of Hammer Restoration.
