April 12, 2016 – DKI, North America’s largest disaster restoration contracting organization is pleased to announce another “rising star” among its growing contractor network. Jocelyn Dornfeld of A&J Specialty Services, Inc. DKI, one of DKI’s franchise member companies, was named one of Cleaning & Restoration Magazine’s “Rising Stars in Restoration.”

In its March, 2016 issue, C&R profiled eight young leaders in the United States, Canada and Australia within the restoration industry. The article features questions and answers about what drew these individuals to the industry and how they view the future of restoration.

Among those profiled was Dornfeld, who was active in residential construction for six years prior to moving into the restoration industry. Since then, she has worked with A&J Specialty for three years and continues to ask questions, better her knowledge and think outside of the box.

“How can we use technology to improve our position through marketing and to our clients? How can we do the work better, faster or more efficiently? You can either be a part of the problem or part of the solution. I choose the solution,” Dornfeld said in her interview with C&R.

Dornfeld said her greatest accomplishment was her “Restoring Kindness” campaign, launched in July, 2015. The campaign grew from a local effort to a national exposure of businesses and individuals paying it forward and “restoring kindness.”

“We are always focused on others and restoring their homes and businesses. We wanted to put a bigger emphasis on restoring the lives of others,” she said.
