DKI Hires New Director of Education

April 14, 2014 – DKI, North America’s largest disaster restoration contracting organization, today announced that Ken Larsen has joined the DKI team as the new Director of Education.

Ken returns to DKI as Director of Education.  He will be working with Steve Boyce to continue to bring value to our franchises through education opportunities.

“Ken is a respected educator with a deep knowledge of our industry and we are excited that Ken is returning to DKI” said Steve Boyce, VP of operations.

Ken Larsen has been in the restoration industry since 1978. For twenty years, Ken has operated his own successful restoration business, which was sold in 1998. Approved as an instructor in the IICRC’s WRT, ASD and CDS courses as well as the industry’s capstone credential: the RIA’s Certified Restorer (CR) program, Ken has assisted hundreds of restorers in their understanding of the restoration sciences. Published in many industry trade journals and author of the popular book, Leadership in Restorative Drying, Ken Larsen is a recognized name within the industry. Having managed restoration projects from small residential to large multi-million dollar drying projects, Ken will surely be an asset to the team’s ability to relate to the world of the DKI franchisee.

Ken is remote based in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.  He is thought of as a great educational leader in the field of property restoration and an individual DKI is proud to have on their team.
